Data Logging through Neptune’s R900® System Helps Take Pressure off PRV Monitoring and Customer Service

Herriman City, Utah’s Municipal Water Department had manually entered 1,500-2,000 account readings each billing cycle and dealt with large numbers of high bill complaints from customers. In addition, it had to collect data from pressure reducing valves (PRVs) by sending personnel into hazardous, confined vaults. With Neptune’s R900® System, the Department now uses AMR to capture meter readings from 6,700 accounts in one or two days, along with 96 days’ worth of data logging information. PRV data is now safely collected at the office using the Cello XO cellular data logger.
