Time-Stamped Data Logging Resolves Customers' High Bill Complaints
The City of Battle Creek, Michigan Water System had used the mobile metering system of a Neptune competitor for years, but got inconsistent AMR reads and installation errors from programming in the field. Inaccurate registers and RF transmitters affected customer service and necessitated estimated reads. By switching to Neptune's R900® System, Battle Creek has eliminated estimated reads while enabling data logging of consumption to resolve high bills. The City has also been able to migrate to fixed network while reading same endpoints via mobile, and can read meters multiple times per day via fixed network.
