Why the Field Programmer? The Neptune® Field Programmer is a self-contained, portable programming unit designed for “in-the-field” programming of ProRead™ encoder registers and R900®G endpoints. The Field Programmer is also capable of interrogating ProRead registers through an attached receptacle after installation has been completed. This feature provides a means of testing the final installation and eliminates the need to remove a register for reprogramming.
